API iPaaS Organizations

These are the organizations I come across in my research who are doing interesting things in the API space. They could be companies, institutions, government agencies, or any other type of organizational entity. My goal is to aggregate so I can stay in tune with what they are up to and how it impacts the API space.

Azure Logic Apps

tray.io

Tray.io offers a platform that makes it easy for anyone to build and share SaaS integrations. Currently integration solutions are divided into two parts, simple point to point data migration services (easy to setup, very restrictive), and enterprise platforms (resource heavy, expensive and platform specific). Integrations are built on tray.io using the visual workflow editor or any major programming language, thanks to the open community of SaaS connectors, libraries and user interface components.

Kloudless

Kloudless provides a single API to connect with over 20 different cloud storage services such as Box, Dropbox, Office 365 and more. Developers can save time integrating their apps with cloud storage by using Kloudless's unified API. Kloudless also adds in new functionality such as event notifications even if the underlying API doesn't provide it, and provides UI tools such as a File Explorer to simplify integration.

MashableLogic

MashableLogic is a mashup development platform that provides a system for leveraging API's by turning them into re-usable components that can be combined to compose software solutions.

Apache Camel

Camel empowers you to define routing and mediation rules in a variety of domain-specific languages, including a Java-based Fluent API, Spring or Blueprint XML Configuration files, and a Scala DSL. This means you get smart completion of routing rules in your IDE, whether in a Java, Scala or XML editor. Apache Camel uses URIs to work directly with any kind of Transport or messaging model such as HTTP, ActiveMQ, JMS, JBI, SCA, MINA or CXF, as well as pluggable Components and Data Format options. Apache Camel is a small library with minimal dependencies for easy embedding in any Java application. Apache Camel lets you work with the same API regardless which kind of Transport is used - so learn the API once and you can interact with all the Components provided out-of-box. Apache Camel provides support for Bean Binding and seamless integration with popular frameworks such as Spring, Blueprint and Guice. Camel also has extensive support for unit testing your routes.

Google Dataflow

Dataflow is a unified programming model and a managed service for developing and executing a wide range of data processing patterns including ETL, batch computation, and continuous computation. Cloud Dataflow frees you from operational tasks like resource management and performance optimization.

Scribe Software Corporation provides cost-effective, no-coding solutions that can be used as the only tool businesses need to integrate virtually any application, data source or Software as a Service (SaaS) platform.

Stitch

Stitch evolved out of RJMetrics, a widely used business intelligence platform. Data consolidation was always central to the RJMetrics product, and the team repeatedly heard requests from customers looking for ETL as a standalone service. We listened.

Wappwolf is focused on deconstructing the barriers of the Cloud, by connecting your Evernote, Facebook, Flickr, and other web services / apps to Dropbox, allowing users to drag & drop files into a predefined folder on Dropbox and automatically convert and sync to your favorite places.

Temboo

CloudWork

Cloudwork is a service that allows users to automate tasks between Google Apps, Salesforce, Evernote, Zoho, Twitter, Freshbooks, MailChimp, Zendesk, Dropbox, WordPress and others.

CloverETL

CloverETL is open source data integration platform based on Java. It can be used for data migration, data cleansing and other data transformation tasks.

Pentaho

Talend

Talend offers open source middleware solutions that address big data integration, data management and application integration needs for businesses of all sizes.

Systemizer

Systemizer allows you to automate your online workflow by chaining all sorts of web-based events, actions and user interactions together. All of Systemizer's functionality is available via an extensive REST API. All you need is an API key (see the Create Account call for details) and an environment with which to make HTTP requests such as Fiddler (Windows) or cURL (Command line, all platforms). Typically however, you'll want to use the Systemizer user interface (unreleased as yet) or your own application code which will make calls to the Systemizer API according to the needs of your application.

bipio

Bipio is an API for pipelining content feeds across many popular web services and exposing them through public or private endpoints. This documentation addresses some key concepts in getting you on your way to creating meaningful content transformations with Bipio, including how to plug its components into your own application. 

AWS Step Functions

AWS Step Functions makes it easy to coordinate the components of distributed applications and microservices using visual workflows. Building applications from individual components that each perform a discrete function lets you scale and change applications quickly. Step Functions is a reliable way to coordinate components and step through the functions of your application. Step Functions provides a graphical console to arrange and visualize the components of your application as a series of steps. This makes it simple to build and run multi-step applications. Step Functions automatically triggers and tracks each step, and retries when there are errors, so your application executes in order and as expected. Step Functions logs the state of each step, so when things do go wrong, you can diagnose and debug problems quickly. You can change and add steps without even writing code, so you can easily evolve your application and innovate faster. AWS Step Functions manages the operations and underlying infrastructure for you to help ensure your application is available at any scale.
